Learning new tricks

Eva has decided it is time to try and roll over, I left her flat on her back and she has worked out how to get on her side it is just her left are stopping her going all the way, as she develops and gets closer and closer to new milestones, solids next, it highlights how much we miss Karen.

Help, is it ok to take Eva swimming now, if so any advice other than waterproof nappies and just do it, also do you need to shower or bath her afterwards?

  1. Hi David,

I love reading your blogs, keeping up with how the gorgeous wee beauty is progressing.

Have a read of this from an online help - http://www.babycenter.in/baby/safety/swimmingexpert/

Took my nieces swimming at an early age, they absolutely loved it. We chose a heated pool or one with a baby pool because they are warmer for the little ones. And held them close to us whilst standing under the showers in the changing areas. I don't think chlorine is particularly good for anyone...

Thinking of you both, hoping the pain eases as each day passes,

  2. Hi David, it's been a long while since we last spoke to you, and we are very sorry to hear about Karen. Sonia love visiting your blogs and does so on regular basis. Our thoughts are with you.

Swimming is GREAT and lots of fun. Our daughter Sofia loves it, and began lessons at 9 months old. She would become so relaxed that she would sleep for hours after the lesson. We are sure that Eva will love it too. Swimming is great because it's similar to what babies experienced in the womb.

We chose to shower with Sofia after being in the pool, and once we arrived home than a nice warm bath always did the trick:0)

We would love to meet little Eva when you next visit Australia!
