Kelefesia Island

Wow it doesn't come much better, google Kelefesia Island and be amazed, we are three boats only at this post card perfect uninhabited island, it is truly stunning, as we make our way North through the Ha'apai group I expect it will only get better before we get to the Vavau Group. It was only a 50 mile sail today in 20-25 knots so great sailing but big seas so great to be tucked up in an island surrounded by reef.

What are you doing right now :-)

To Tonga we go

After a little R&R, a few repairs and all ship shape we are just past North Minerva headed for Tonga, should take abut 48 hours and it will be great for Eva to have some run around time and use some of that energy. I had to take the plunge and give Eva the big hair chop, its really hot and waking up drenched I thought was very very overrated so the long locks have gone, she seemed none to bothered, great place for a haircut though sitting on the stern in Minerva, nice.

Ok, bye for now need to keep these short, TOO TONGA.

WOW WOW WOW

I have done and been to some amazing places but after five days of hard work this is without a doubt the most amazing place I have ever been, google Minerva Reef and be green with envy, last night Eva had a bath in the middle of the pacific ocean at anchorage enclosed by a reef, it is mind boggling, I had a naked shower under the stars, we are in awe, smelling the roses and living the moment, it has me in tears to be having these experiences with Eva.

Lastly a combined email, Dad have a great trip to the US and enjoy the peace and quiet :-), no more Eva, mum or me enjoy.

An update

Well here we are, after a solid 24 hours of motoring in no wind and a big confused sea we have crossed 30 degrees and down to shorts only, really warm and stunning weather with the most amazing indigo blue ocean for company, sails up again but motor sailing at 6.5knots, all is good on board, Tracy is back on deck after a bad bout of seasickness, suppositories and all!! Michelle is exceeding expectations and delivering all the way, Eva is a star and adapted better than all of us, it still amazes me what she can sleep through!!

Next time hopefully an update from Minerva reef.

31degrees 27 South, 176degress 54 East

Morning, here we are on passage, it has been a rough first 36 hours, a bit of sea sickness and a mix of great sailing and motoring, we are now 495 miles from minerva reef bang on course and doing approximately 6.0 knots, so at this rate probably another 3 days to a bit of much needed R&R. Eva has settled in great just the girls a finding it pretty tough, bye for now.
